Today we took a boat from the south island to the north island. Everything went well so we’re in Wellington now! Feels quit good to be in a city after such a long time in the nature, meeting many tourists all the time. So the new year will ne celebrated with the kiwis – cheers dudes…

Yesterday we arrived and had rain, today beautiful as ever … Actually we had lots of luck with the weather, travelling from town to town was mostly bad weather, hiking and sightseeing mostly good weather so just perfect. Hopefully it continues like this… Happy new year to you all!

We had a nice bbq party with a group of kiwis. It was in a nice flat somewhere outside city center. Nice backyard garden, good food and a lots of drinks. Afterwards going down town which was god damn crowded. So we had fun - happy new year to ya all… Cheers!

Today we took the bus from Wellington to Taupo. So we passed green sheep lawn valee “Hobbingen” over vulcano desert landscapes to “Mordor”. And all of this in about 6 hours, quit amazing! Today we visited and swam in hot springs. The day after tomorrow we’ll do our final vulcano hike, the “Tongorio northern circuit”. Hopefully the weather is fine, forecast looks bad… Cya soon!

Just a small sidetrip today. Taupo is where we actually stay another night. The hot springs at “Crators of the Moon” and “Hooka Falls & River” are just within a one hour walking distance, so we checked ‘em out today. Tomorrow 4 days hardcore hiking at “Mordor” will follow, so far, till later…
