Deep Water Soloing

Yesterday I booked a trip for deep water soloing (dws). It’s free climbing combined with cliff jumping. It was really good fun with about 20 other people! A longtail boot took us to a ‘lonley’ island within a 20 min ride from Ton Sai. For spicy chicken lunch the boot stopped at a small beautiful beach nearby the dws spot…

While I wrote this I’ll leave Ton Sai Bay tomorrow. Heading further east to reach Prachuap Khiri Khan in a view days. Finally for you… just another nice sunset at Prag Nang Beach :)

Surat Thani Stop Over

Actually I’m traveling north. I took a bus from Krabi to Surat Thani and stayed there for one night. Surat Thani is a really busy industrial thai city. It looked dirty and hectic, so it’s more a stop over than a tourist attraction. Nevertheless the hotel I had was quite good…

I’m looking forward to my next stations wich will be Prachuap Khiri Khan and Hua Hin. There I gonna stay some longer to check out beaches, national parks and planed to do some hiking.. we’ll c soon… cheers x

Prachuap Khiri Khan

My first day in Prachuap Khiri Khan started some kind of formal. I wanted to extend my visa. Normal tourists visa for germans last 4 weeks. For 50 EUR it can be easily extended to another 4 weeks. So I need to go to the immigration office at the border to Myanmar, which is like 20 km from here. Because there is no public transportation and tuk tuk is to expensive I rented a scooter. Nice experience, driving left and never drove one before ;) First I ended up in nowheresland and turned round.. After like 1.5 hours driving I got my visa extended. On my way back I slowly checked out some spots at the coast near Prachuap (National Marine Park)

Back in Prachuap I drove up the coast north and got to a nice fisher village. There is a viewpoint up in the hills, I’ll check out some other day, to be continued..

Khao Sam Rot Yot (NP)

Today I had an amazing trip to a national park 40 km nearby Prachuap. I drove there by scooter. Plenty of shrimp farms, nevertheless a nice area with lots of cave, beaches and viewpoints. This is Phraya Nakhon Cave:

Chiang Mai

Yesterday I arrived in Chiang Mai which is one of the biggest cities in northern Thailand. It’s quite touristic but it seems to be a nice place to stay for some days. I had a really fucked up dorm for the first night which smelled a lot like toilette & pee, for like 120 BHT per night, all right… Nevertheless changed today to a really nice accommodation which is 300 BHT. What you reserve is what you get. So better spent some “more” money and you’re mostly fine.

Here’s a picture taken at Chiang Mai Ping river during a boot trip I had today:

Tomorrow evening I gonna pick up Aline and Julie from the airport to continue travelling with them together…
